Ride #4, 20th October 2019
Location: Murud-Jaljira (Dist  Raigad)
Distance: 328kms

So unlike our previous rides, we were a bit behind our schedule due to unexpected rains in the month of October. We started at 6.30 am from Teen Hath Naka (Our regular meeting point ) with 11 bikes and 20 members altogether and a Car.

With crazy rains and muddy roads, we proceeded towards pen via Airoli Naka – Kharghar – Kalamboli – Panvel to relish the famous & mouth-watering “Appa Tandel Misal” at Chawadi Naka Pen, after having delicious misal pav and their  Signature ice-cream soda we started our journey towards our destination. 

As we rode through the beautiful roads clad with greenery on both sides, we took a brief halt at Kashid beach from there we proceeded towards Murud-Jaljira. The actual fun was when we had to reach the fort by ferry(which was a small boat with sails). Finally, after the adventurous boat ride we finally reached the fort of Murud Janjira (Actual name of the fort is Murud-jaljira meaning fort standing amidst water)
After paying for the entry and for the guide (Boat keeper / Guide) we were shown around the fort this fort is the only fort that was never captured it has 2 freshwater lakes within and has 3 Gigantic canons name as Kalalbangdi, Chavri, and Landa Kasam.

After spending some time admiring the fort and capturing some sweet memories we started back for lunch at “Neel Garden Resort” at Kashid, this place provides amazing food and has beautiful cottage fashioned rooms they served us Veg & non-veg food with amazing hospitality even got us a Cake (upon request) for our members who were celebrating their birthdays.

After a long day, we started back home with few stops in between we ended our ride at around 11.30 pm with loads of memories to cherish for the rest of our lives.
